UPDATE: Larry Johnson fired by the Chiefs

In case you missed the last article written on this site on this subject, there was a Larry Johnson petition being circulated by fans to get him dismissed from the team, because they didn’t want him occupying Kansas City Chiefs record books or mentioned in the same sentence with Priest Holmes, and didn’t want any more fastcash spent on him.  They got their wish.  The running back (2.7 yards per carry this season – the second worst in the league) constantly feuded with management, hit women, etc., has been declared the weakest link, and summarily given the boot.

Larry Johnson won’t pass go, and won’t collect $200

Well, check that – he still is guaranteed wages by contract.  He is expected to clear waivers, and might be picked up by another team.  However, he has probably seen his last pay day with the Chiefs.  To be fair, he was a two time Pro Bowler and a first round pick out of Penn State.  From 2004 to 2007, he was one of the best running backs in the NFL for 3 seasons, appearing in 2 Pro Bowls.  It turns out he is actually a very talented player, but perhaps star power went to his head.

Suspension due to making bigoted remarks

Johnson used homophobic slurs on his Twitter account and also to reporters, and had reportedly had a negative impact in the locker room, along with a Twitter fueled feud with the head coach.  (Granted, the 1-7 record of the Chiefs this year might have something to do with that.)  During his two week suspension for conduct unbecoming, the Chiefs decided to give him his walking papers.  He will collect over $4 million, as part of his contract guarantees it in the event of a release. … click here to read the rest of the article titled “Larry Johnson Released | A Running Back Sacked“

That means that these individuals will want to buy stocks of that company from those who originally bought them. They are usually willing to pay more than the price of the first person paid. Tyler Perry saga continues

Tyler Perry has built himself quite the legacy with his films and television shows. He was already making decent money from his play company when he started his film career as a voice actor and director on “Madea’s Family Reunion” and as a producer for “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” in 2002.

But the beginning of Madea was the beginning of the really big bucks for Tyler Perry, and so she  has returned multiple times to the big and small screen, in “Madea Goes to Jail” and “Madea’s Family Reunion.” Now Madea is back and as big as ever in feature film “I Can Do Bad All By Myself,” which hits theaters Friday.

‘I Can Do Bad All By Myself’ plot summary

Rotten Tomatoes says the “I Can Do Bad All By Myself” movie starts with Madea catching some teenagers looting her house. Too bad they were too young to get an online personal loan.

With their parents out of the picture, Madea decides to take the delinquents to live with their aunt April, who wants nothing to do with the kids, at first. WTC United Family Group aims to educate

The September 11 Education Trust — founded in 2001 as the World Trade Center United Family Group — has spend the past eight years developing September 11 Lesson Plans to teach kids about the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

The group’s web site says “The September 11th Education Trust produces comprehensive, flexible, and engaging 9/11 and civic literacy education programs that are personalized and enriched through first-hand accounts, filmed oral histories, and authentic, primary archival materials to permanently record this shared historic event in a way that is not stagnant, but inspiring and relevant to the nation’s youth.”

Another chapter in the history books

HispanicBusiness.com reports that six states will be adding the September 11 lesson plans to their agenda this year.
